Union Public Service Commission has announced a notification regarding the vacancies of 33 Medical Officers and 01 Translator (Sinhalese) Post. The candidates are supposed to apply for the Posts Online. The last date till the interested candidates can apply is 1st March 2018. UPSC 2018 Job Details.
1. The Probation period will take place as per norms.
2. The Translator will have the duty of Translation into English of intercepted traffic, recorded tapes and printed material. Perusal & checking of translation work of unit translators.
3. The Translation of materials received from Military Intelligence Directorate and other sources will take place.
4. Preparation of training exercises for languages trained personnel.
5. Maintenance of foreign language publication, collation of intelligence information & other allied jobs.
6. The Medical Officer Post will independently manage the concerned clinic speciality in all aspects including diagnosis, treatment and follow-up, conduct research, academic and development activities. Perform Administrative activities related to the speciality.
UPSC 2018 Eligibility Criteria.
1. The Candidates applying for Translator post should own a Bachelor’s degree in the Foreign Language (Sinhalese) concerned with English as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level from a recognized University/ Bachelor’s degree.
2. One can also possess Diploma in foreign language concerned (Sinhalese) for Translator Post.
3. The Divisional Medical Officer requires MD (General)/ MD (General Medicine)/ MD (Medicine & Therapeutics)/ MRCP/ Speciality Board of Internal Medicine (USA) for Post 2 with relevant experience.
Age Limit.
1. The age of the applicant should not exceed 35 years.
2. Age relaxation is as per government norms.
UPSC 2018 Application Fee.
1. The application fee to apply for the Post is Rs.25/-.
2. The fee has to be deposited in any branch of SBI by cash or net banking of SBI by using visa/master credit debit/card.
3. No fee for SC/ST/PH/WOMEN candidates.

1. First, applicants go to the official website of UPSC i.e. www.upsconline.nic.in.
2. Then, click on ‘ONLINE RECRUITMENT APPLICATION (ORA) FOR VARIOUS RECRUITMENT POSTS’ option.
3. A page will appear consisting of applying links for vacancies.
4. Select the ‘New Registration’ option on the top most of the webpage.
5. Fill-up all the asked details and register for to apply for the vacancy.
6. A unique registration ID will be allotted which has to be noted down and saved.
7. Now, Go back and click on ‘Apply now’ option.
8. Enter the login ID and Password. Fill all the details asked and upload the documents.
9. Pay the fee using internet banking in SBI or other bank through Visa/ Master Debit or Credit card issued by any Bank/ Institution.
10. Then, click on ‘My active application link’.
11. Fill all the details of transaction ID and date of transaction if paid through cash.
12. Click ‘continue’, check fee details and submit the application.
13. Finally, take the print out of online application for future utilization.
